Shareholder Information
Every company registered in Qatar needs a clear record of who owns it. Shareholder information establishes the legal ownership structure that will appear on the company’s commercial registration and constitutional documents.
This typically includes, for each shareholder:
- Full legal name and nationality
- Passport and, where applicable, Qatar ID details
- Ownership percentage or number of shares held
- Contact details and registered address
- Whether the shareholder is an individual or another company
If a shareholder is itself a company rather than a person, additional corporate documents are usually required — see the separate page on corporate shareholder documents.
Ownership structure affects more than paperwork — it can influence tax treatment, decision-making rights, and how profits and liabilities are shared, so it is worth getting right from the start rather than amending it later.
